    Razer or Logitech for gaming?

what mouse should i get? a logitech g7 (im tired of having to swap mice with my mx1000 while i let it charge up) or a razer diamondback? i'd rather get a wired one tbh, so any other suggestions for a wired mouse would be nice, or a wireless one with 2 batteries thanks

A vote for the one and only razor copperhead. It is pricey at around £45-50. But what you get is a quality product. It is great for fast twitchy games.

Logitech MX518 all the way, can't go wrong with it.

Also http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1265679 might be of interest.

if you want wired, i'd go with the mx518 also as i find the buttons on the copperhead slightly wrong shaped for me hands

with mice, its also a good idea to have a feel of it before you buy it, this way, you know you're buying something that fits your hand.

pfft all these reccomendations for logitech - and no mention of Microsoft mice yet(!)

Microsoft DO make very good hardware, so if you are a big enough man to put aside petty "oh noes its microsoft" ideas then I would give their new mouse a try..the Laser 6000 one.

I have the laser 6000 wireless desktop kit and its *very* nice - the difference in accuracy between the laser mouse and my old just plain optical one is amazing. I got the set for xmas so i'm not sure how much it costs, but I think its around 40quid or so for the keyboard (another very nice piece of kit) and mouse combined.

It is wireless however I've noticed no mouse lag in Unreal Tournament, CSS or BF2142, and the batteries are just 2xAAs (which are supposed to last 6 months but we'll see) so the wireless part shouldnt be a problem

The kit also includes microsofts rip-off of 'expose' which is a nice addition to windows..even if all it does is make Vista into an even more accurate clone of OSX (visually).

edit: the laser 6000 wireless mouse is very different from its wired version which has a lower resolution and totally different shape - so ignore the esreality review of it - the wireless one is better

Had a look around, the set is around £50

    http://www.misco.co.uk/productinform...affiliate=2008

and the mouse is around £25 on its own:

I *think* thats the same one, looks it to me only mine is in black/silver rather than just silver.

Poorly designed hands, thats your problem. My advice is take the hand back and try and get it exchanged, possibly a......second-hand model.

    Ill let myself out.

edit: On topic, why do you have problems with your mx1000 batteries? iv never had mine run out, just a 10-15min charge makes them last more then enough time for me. I just drop it in its cradle when i go for a drink or step outside for a bit, then again mine is only a few months old.

The razer copperhead is of high quality, It has silky smooth lines. Sexy almost .

The only other mouse I would consider using for gaming would be the wireless g7. If gaming is your thing and if you don't have abnormal hands , imo the razor is the way too go.

Mines 2 years old this Christmas, and its still going strong - lasts a week to 2 under normal usage - only time its run out on me was after a long CS:S session, or I was being a cretin and forgetting to recharge it

I think the razor copperhead is around £45-50 so its not cheep,
but the g7 is not that much more at around £55 last time I checked. You could have a look at a diamondback if money is very tight?
