Anything with Windows MCE support is a good idea. Means it is far more likely to work with third party software.
I have a Nova-T 500 dua tuner card in my HTPC right now.
will it still support 3rd party software if i dont have media centre?
you don't need MCE, but having a card that is MCE compatible is a good start. Basically it means it has BDA drivers, so anything that uses the BDA driver system and DirectShow will be able to use your card.
I would suggest most PCI Nova-t's
yep i have one as well, well worth the money
