Akasa round IDE cable, cheap quality:(

So am I the only one who broke this cable in one day? One of the connector just snapped off while I was trying to take it out from one of my harddrives. I just pulled the white flappy thing with akasa logo on it but aren't they supposed to be there to give you better grip when you pull the cable out or what? Another 6quid waisted I guess, bah Any recommendations for better quality cables? Which one do you guys use?

Same as MaddAussie, I've used Belkin ones in a few builds and they've been fine.

I would say, however, that Akasa's kit is usually good quality, so are you sure it wasn't just a one off?

I don't know, that's the only one I had. Anyway, thanks guys. I'll go with Belkin.

Now the cable and connecter are split apart dave so I'm afraid there's no way I can fix it. It seems connector itself isn't broken but there are simply too many pins on it that need to be in right place on the cable and that is next to impossible to fix
