They are excellent. My entire PC is kitted out with them now. What they aren't is high performance

Ah ok. Well they are silent for me so thats good I just hope they are keeping stuff cool enough in there.

Just been reading other people's temperatures on another forum and mine seem kind of average. But for an after market cooler they are a bit high.

I think I'll be ok for now, but if I decide to overclock... im gunna need to replace the cooler I think. Wish I could up my fan speed in the meantime. Motherboard only gives me 3 options and none of them suit me :/

Ok seeing as I have this thread going, I got one other thing I wanted to check with you folks.

In my Nvidia control panel, theres a System Information button, and according to that, it says this:

    Reference Clock (FSB): 499.533 MHz
    FSB Frequency: 999.106 (DDR) MHz
    CPU Multiplier: 9.0 x
    CPU core frequency: 4495.976 MHz
Memory bus frequeny: 999.106 (DDR) MHz

    GPU core (2D/3D): 576.000 MHz
    GPU Memory speed: 900.000 MHz

Are all those normal for an E6600 and an 8800GTX?

According to My Computer and a few other things I've looked at, the cores are running at 2.4Ghz which is normal. But those FSB readings above look a bit odd to me. I dont know what they should be to be honest.. so I need to check.

None of this is meant to be overclocked. I want it all running at stock speeds.

    Thanks in advance

p.s. On Scan's website, the GPU speeds say its meant to be MEM 1800 MHz, GPU 575MHz.

    ---------edit---------

    CPU-Z says this:

    Core Speed 2400.0 MHz
    Multiplier x 9.0
    Bus Speed 266.7 MHz
    Rated FSB: 1066.6 MHz

Get PC Wizard, I find it's much more reliable than other gimmicky 'sensor' programs.

Thanks mate, I just got that and everything seems to be in order.

The GPU speed says 900MHz times two. So that would explain what it wasn't telling me 1800 in that other program.

The CPU is running at 2.4Ghz too, so that seems ok too.

(Wow this is a really good program! Shows all my temps including the system temp, motherboard temp, GPU temp... everything! I really like this)
Only thing raising a red flag with me is that the hard disks say they are ATA. Should be SATA but maybe because its Serial ATA, its still called ATA. Everything looks ok though. (Except my temps still a bit high )

That might have something to do with the way your SATA controller presents itself to windows.

It's correct in saying "ATA". It just means "Advanced Technology Attachment".

Had it said "PATA" (Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment) then it would have been incorrect.

Alright Thanks again guys. I'd be screwed without you all.

Only thing on my mind now is these temps but theres not a whole lot I can do about that now I think. Besides buying a whole new Heatsink+Fan :/
