    cheaper 8800GTS's

i was thinking about getting a http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=496748in around may/june time, but as its the cheapest 8800 there, does that mean the quality of it is poorer? i do know thats its 640mb instead of 768mb, so thats one factor why its less, i was just wondering whether the quality would be poorer, thanks

I think all 8800 cards use identical PCB's/Components, atleast they do justnow...so it probably is just less RAM.

They should all be practically the same except for the warranty, diff coolers etc. which keeps the cost down for some.

I've read somewhere that Palit buys its memory from a third party rather than from NVIDIA direct, which allows it to keep their costs down. Maybe Leadtek is doing the same thing.

Although Leadtek is a fiver more than Pallit at the moment.

that would be quite nice, im not even sure that a 8800 will even fit my current case so i might have to wait for the more expensive ones that come out later that are a bit smaller.
