Would you like to overclock with Air or water - you will get varried results from each and should reach a higher overclock on water but no overclock is guaranteed .
Water preferably. i have heard that is the best way to go to get the best results so am looking to go that way.
Go to the toms hardware website and in the cpu section they have an article on ur processor and they get it up to 4.1GHz. (sorry i cant post a link until i get 5 posts)
they get it up to 4.1GHz. Water cooling is recommended for 4GHz, but try with ur current hsf and see how far you can go.
If your thinking of buying an expensive cooler, it may be cheaper to upgrade your processor to a core 2 duo which will be faster when overclocked with the retail hsf.
Basically a fan-based cooler will tops at about 4Ghz (Mine runs at 72'C) and water cooling will top at about 4.3Ghz if you crank up the voltage to 1.5V range.
Still, overclocking is not a guarantee and I think in most case you'll top at about 4Ghz.

If you're just after plain performance, swapping the 805 for a Core 2 Duo, even an E6300 would be a nice speed bump and overclock easily. Work out about the same price as low end water cooling.
cheers for the input guys. nice to know i may be able to get alot out of my cheap chip!!! will post with results to what i decide to do and with the outcome!
oh and sorry for the late reply as i havnt been online for a while.. cheers again
that is my idea as i didnt pay much for the d805. just realy want to play with it and see what i can achieve on water then if anything goes wrong its not to much to replace or even better upgrade!
