im thinking bout etting x1950 xt 256mb card wondering whats ur thoughts on it and would i benefit from getting a 512mb card instead? i play css

That all depends on what resolution you game at. Generally the 512mb is better, but if you're limited to 1280x1024 just stick with the 256mb.

If you do decide the 512mb is the one for you, look seriously at the 8800GTS, as it is a better card, and certainly better value than the X1950XT 512mb is at most places.

i have a 19 inch widescreen tft and game on 1440x 900 so wld it be worth while looking at a 512mb card then ?

Hmm... that's touch and go... I would start leaning towards the 8800GTS in that case - the 256mb XT would probably still be fine, but the better value would be the 8800GTS.

If you take a peak in the bargains section, there's a nice 8800GTS at rather tasty money too at the moment.

THE 512MB CARD doesnt just depend on your resolution it also depends on your memory and cpu if you have an amd 64 3200+ and a gig of ram a 512mb card will just bottleneck the hell out of your pc so make sure you have enough power elsewhere to run a 512mb card

Not quite right there. If he had said system then the bottleneck would be the processor and/or RAM yes, BUT only in the sense that the graphics is capable of more, it will not slow the whole system down. All it will do is enable the processor and/or RAM to run at it's highest speed/ability in games.
