Need Help With New PC
i aplogize if this thread is in the wrong topic, this is my first time posting here and looked like the best place to ask for help.
I recently just bought a new pc, a dell dimension c521, and i'm sure as most of you know, theres no IDE channel...theres one on the mother board, but it isn't used.
The problem is, my dvd burner, which is a Mad Dog DVD Writer Model SH-S162 uses a standered IDE cable...i guess my question is, is there ANY possible way for this burner to work on my new pc? i only bought the dvd burner in august, and i do not have another pc to hook it up too...i hate to have wasted 80 dollars on this burner, and thought i would save money by not getting one installed on this pc from dell...any ideas? are there any kind of convertor pieces or anything?

you can get a IDE to SATA converter
but i cant remeber were i saw it

can you not turn on the IDE in the bios then?

I ordered a convertor for the drive, thanks though.
and no, because i have no IDE slot on my mother board, but there is a channel there for one.
