    replacement for powershot A60

Im not sure where in gods name this thread should go so move it if you like.

Anyway I lost my trusty Canon Powershot A60 on new years eve and so am looking for a replacement.

Any suggestions for about 100 notes maybe a little more.

I was happy with the Canon and the settings I could change such as shutter speed etc are they still good?

I used a 5MP Fuji at Uni today and I must say it felt cheap and didnt have half the options mt Canon did.

I recieved my A530 today and so far I'm very pleased with it. Very good image quality, easy to use yet packed with some nice features. Only gripe I have with this camera is very short battery life but that's about it. For less than 100quid I must say this camera is an excellent buy.

I was lookign at that camera on amazon last night its a definate possibility, have you tried some decent high powered batteries in it? I used to have some 2300mah rechargables in my old Canon and it would last ages.

Also anyone kow what the Ixus range are like? They look more compact although maybe less features? I read you cant change the shutterspeed and the like on them.

No I haven't tried them yet I 've just switched to rechargable 1700mAh but normal alkaline ones only lasted for like 2-3hours average. Great camera nonetheless.
