Id get a new cooler if I was going to overclock it anyway as the cooler you can keep it the higher you are going to be able to overclock it.
better to start out with good temps and then aim for a better overclock.

Like a said back in canteen posts ago - its just £14 for a reasonable cooler so see where you go from there and tell us the results - and good luck

that cooler is out of stock. i am also curious to see how much this e6300 can overclock too. with a ddr800 ram, does the ram ned 2 be overclocked too?
you will get to 2.8GHz before the ram is overclocking.
0V3RCL0CK3R has his E6300 overclocked to 3.6ghz i think...
and yes i was thinking about an artic cooler 7, i've heard there pretty good
once your above stock speed just loosen the timings to ensure no ram problems.
