Shuttle ST20G5 PSU + CPU question

Hello,

I have just been given a Shuttle ST20G5 with no power supply.
I have a spare desktop 230W ATX psu sat about that fits quite nicely into the case, it would just need the power socket relocating. I have no need for an optical drive so the larger size isn't an issue.
Would this work?
Failing that, would an ordinary mini ATX psu do the job?

As for the rest of the the machine, I am putting in an old Radeon X1600XT, I assume a 250w PSU will be up to running this card?

Finally, is it true that that this board supports dual core?

Microdirect stock shuttle power supplies, PC40 (49 quid, 250W) or PC50 (300W, 62 quid).

I chopped up the psu I had with a dremel and bolted it in, it works just fine. Plenty of space left for pci-e + pci cards and two HD's.

Shuttle Announces Improved Support for AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processors

Adding to the comprehensive support for AMD Athlon 64 X2 processors in its SN25P and ST20G5 Shuttle XPC Barebones, Shuttle has updated its CPU compatibility list for the Shuttle XPC Barebones SN95G5 V1 and V2. The first SFF PCs for Socket 939 processors, the SN95G5 V1 and V2 are now able to gain support for the E6 Stepping revisions of AMD's Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processors following a BIOS update. The detailed list of compatible CPUs is available on Shuttle's website:

So you're covered for X2, though you're best checking the bios rev to see if it needs updating

@frosty15 - thanks for the info, googled the page you quoted and now gonna go and buy a bug fat dual cpu (and return the one I borrowed and managed now to blow up D).
