Building a PC for my little brother...

Hi, soon im going to be building a PC for my little brother, he has around £400, and im pondering about what graphics card to get him, i was thinking a 7300GT, good for around £50...

he's only going to be using it for word, watching DVDs and playing a few (hardly demanding) games. the main thing is whether the 7300GT is too much for what he needs. but it will be an advantage if he decides to play a few of my flight sims...

any ideas on other graphics card? (remember ill only have £400 inc. monitor to play with!)

You could always go with a motherboard with onboard graphics. That would save a shedload and possibly allow for a later upgrade when he sees what your new one can do.

Or as clunk said, get him one with onboard - ASRock do some nice Conroe boards with inbuilt graphics - then upgrade later

seems quite good, not sure about going with onboard, as he wont want to upgrade later...so i want to get him an ok one now so atleast he can play a few games in the future.

When we say upgrade later, we mean simply add in a PCI-e graphics card, rather than replace mobo etc, so it would only be the cost of the graphics card...

i know...and he wont want to...as he wont want to spend his own cash on one.
