    A8N32 Sli Deluxe boot up

I've just built a PC using the following

    A8N32-Sli Deluxe

    AMD X2 4200

    2 Gig Corsair RAM

    7900 GTO graphics card

    Silverstone STF60 PSU

When I booted it for the first time it beeped once but none of the usual on screen info about the m/board, processors, RAM etc apppeared. Instead I get the following message -

"Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert Boot media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Tried turning it off and rebooting again, but always get the same message.

What do I do now? Any help appreciated.

    TIA

fit a hard drive, that would help

that board comes with SATA disabled from what i remember when i installed mine.

if your using one of the 4 SATA ports bunched together at the bottom right of the board, you will need to enable NVIDIA sata controller from BIOS.

you dont get any of the BIOS screen, ASUS put the boot logo over there instead, you press the TAB key to bring up the BIOS info, or DEL to get into the BIOS

hope that is of some help.

I agree with Gonzo, you need to play with the IDE Settings in your bios, you can change the mode from SATA to RAID etc, if RAID you will need to enter the RAID config on boot and set an array. You will also need to get the driver onto a floppy disk and press f6 at the beginning of windows xp setup
