    upgrade advice

Hi i am in the proccess of building a new pc for someone. One thats no too expensive whilst having room for future upgrades. I would like to overclock a bit as well. would these components be enough to overclock the hell out of a E6300?

    specs

    Mobo: Abit AB9 Pro i965
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=433274

    gtx: 256MB Sapphire Radeon X1600Pro
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=462640

    Memory: 1GB CorsairXMS2
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=239017

Cooler for cpu: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=340995

dvd drive: LiteOn 16x DVD+/-RW/RAM SATA beige
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=520882

PSU:460W Akasa Ultra quiet aPFC (can this power up a 8800 in the future?)
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=154679

Case: Thermaltake Soprano SECC Silver, Window
    http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx...0080&InMerch=1

btw does anybody know any good reliable sites that sell a large range of fancy cases and reasonable prices? cheers

Doesnt DDR2 have to run in dual channel?

i think that the 460W PSU might be enough to run a 8800GTS, though i'd go up to atleast 500W.

And yes..you should be able to overclock the hell out of a E6300 with that, im planning to do that sometime with my current E6300 System (see "My System" )

Josh give us a budget M8 then we can help further. As it stands your fine but I would look at changing the Akasa PSU. Its not the strongest psu I would spend an extra tenner and go for this
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=355398
Stronger 12 amp rails better quality all round. Silverstones PSU's are made by Estasis a very reliable PSU manufacturer.

DDR2 doesn't HAVE to be run in Dual channel, i'm using one stick of XMS2 (1gig) right now and it's fine. however, pairs make it run faster, i'm getting another as soon as i figure out how to afford it!

Does the MSI board allow you to alter the multiplier, have read that some boards won't let you do this when used with an E6300?

I suppose this is built? If so what components did you go with?
If you went for the AB9-Pro i pray that you dont have lots of problems
The silverstone PSU is good but for another extra £6 you can get a 520W Corsair (better).

But from your posts i think youve already built.
