    Thanks.

Yeah, I got the extra 3 minutes to boot problem with the cd drivers + SP1. I cant remember whether I went with standard Nvidia ones or updated ones from abits site. Try any you can get your hands on. No matter how bad they are, they cant be worse than the cd ones and waiting 5 mins for windows to boot

No, its a Nvidia board, so no via 4 in1's. If you want USB2, just make sure you have sp1 already installed and DLoad whatever XP drivers have the most recent date of abits site.

    ermmm, no
You really NEED the Nforce chipset drivers for it to work properly, otherwise you will be bumping into a few problems.

Go here and get the Nforce drivers, download and install them. Make sure you have SP 1 installed first though.

Apparently if you've already installed the ABIT drivers off the CD and then you go and download the newest and the best drivers from Nvidia.com and install them, then you need to do a complete new windows installation for it to work properly.

Think this has something to do with Mainboard manufacturers putting mobo specific tweaks in and nVidia not doing this with the 'generic' version of the drivers, they tend to run into problems. This is from www.nforcershq.com/forums btw

    [/url] btw
Where did you read that ?
Thats crazyness, no hardware maker would make drivers that require a new installation of windows.
While i agree that you should uninstall the old ones, then install the new ones, reinstalling windows just to update your drivers is barmy !
