    So!
    The winner is!

timtim86, for sheer dedication to the thread!
MadduckUK came very close though, as he managed to pretty much give me my final spec only 10 posts in!

Would anyone be interested in a review/log type thing, if I take a load of photos as I put it together? Happy to write something up for you.

    Thanks again!

Nice work, also looks like you finally had some movement in your brain and went C2D.

The system should be great and the 1950pro does a really good job.

You even crammed a Shuttle case into it im happy for you.

Regards to the PCI-E Soundcard, this has just found its way to my eyes http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=96685

    That's my own thread

Cheers, though, and thanks for the kind words!

It all arrived this morning, all 3 packages within about 8 minutes...

Put it together now, have to re-arrange my desk before I can plug it in and start installing windows.

Going for x64 Windows XP, will wait until Vista settles down/it becomes available on my uni's MDSNaa, and then install that.

Took a load of photos during the build, so am more than happy to do a detailed log on it - I'll get round to that within the week hopefully.

I've found everything "Shuttle" very interesting whilst researching this - now that I'm back on the forums I may start to read up on their products and make the SFF forum my new home - as well as snapping up the items in the bargains section and guarding the doors in the welcome forum.

For now though, really happy with it - everything fits fine, bit fiddly in places but I'll go into all that when I write it up!

It does look the sex though.

Cheers again guys, couldn't have sorted this all out without you!

That's OK, I do need refreshing from time to time.

I have no idea where my avatar came from, was trying to work it out the other day...

    It's been there ages!

They look so cool don't they?! Why are you going for x64? I tried but the incompatibility sent me crazy. How's it going? Pretty bloody fast i bet!

Don't know why I'm going for x64 really, just thought it'd bide me by until Vista.

Because I'm at uni though, I get free Microsoft OS's through MDSNaa. So if I don't like it, I can download standard XP Pro.

Just installed Windows, not done any drivers or anything yet. I'll do that tommorow.

Will get a log up soon!

All running nicely so far, installed Vista Business dual boot with XP Pro 64. Vista has died at the moment (constant BSOD), so need to sort that.

Completely KO'd my wallet with a monitor, but when that gets here in a week and a bit I'll get some pictures up.

Tried overclocking, just the CPU at first and it got to 295ish.
I should probably take a look at the memory and volts, but I have no need right now.

Expect an update in a week or so!
