as the title suggests is there anying wrong/that should be improved with this new setup I'm thinking of getting?

That system will overclock pretty nicely. Some good choices.
You could go with a one gig stick and have the option to upgrade later.
The 4300 is 800MHz FSB btw
That ram wont give you much in the way of an overclock mate, with that cpu you will need a minimum of 6400 and 8000 upwards wouldnt be a bad idea.
gigabyte board is a good board as i have recently purchased it. easy to install and seems fine... am looking to overclock my aswell which is why i went to this board. cheap and aparently pretty easy to overclock...
the rest looks good to me..
although you may want to try a cheap water cooling kit instead of air. think the results may be better. thats the way i am going!
the 4300 has a 9x mult and the ram is good for those timings at 375 so without overclocking the ram it will reach 3ghz plus this ram should be able to get to 800 with relaxed timings
about the ram not being fast enough, the 4300 has only an 800MHz FSB so 200MHz quad pumped which is 9X multi. Which means ram speed of 400MHz stock proc speed. 667MHz ram without overclocking can take you to approx 2.8GHz. However ive heard that corsair ram overclocks well so it could get to 800MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings = 3.6GHz.
You can take a 6300 beyond 2.8GHz with that ram and it is running 800MHz+ so it would do fine with a 4300.
how long do you think before toe 4300 drops in price?
couple of weeks maybe, hard to tell, depends on demand.

the 4000 series has a base clock of 200
the fsb is quar pumped hence 800fsb
when the base clock is raised to 266 the fsb becomes 1066, just like to 6000 series
what make to 4000 series potentially good overclockers is the fact that they have higher multipliers than equivenlently clocked 6000 series processors ( due to the base clock of 200)
these high multipliers should allow the 4000 to overclock with mainsteam 667 ram and basic p965 motherboards 500fsb not needed unless you want 4Ghz+
however the 4000 are based on a new unproven core with less cache
