Okay a friend has a dell and I was instructed to buy him an X1950Pro AGP

I got the Sapphire one from scan

he has the 2 free Molex's but Im just usure about that power draw.

    Hs other stuff

    2Gb DDR something ram
    Some dell mobo
    P4 2.6Ghz

However will his dell PSU thats running a 9700Pro be upto the task?

How many hard drives does he have? The Dell PSU will have a power rating on a sticker somewhere on it, though what's really important is the amount of current it can feed at 12V. Impossible to say without knowing that.

    65.7W according to this article.

Another worrying factor is maybe card length. This card is long. Just compare it to 7900GS.

He'll need a new PSU. ATI recommends a total of 30A at 12V (spread over 2 or more rails).
Have a look here. All of them except the cheapest should be suitable.
