    which card to go for

    hello all....just need a bit of advice about which GFX card to go for....i have the 19" Asus PW191 widescreen monitor which has a optimal res of 1440x900 ...so what i was wondering is it worth me buying the 8800GTX or because i can`t go any higher than 1440x900 should i go for the 8800GTS.....any help would be appreciated....cheers

    My adice is the GTS, I would however look at any reviews that have been done recently as obviously it is system dependent on results.
    Personally anybody running 19 inch screens are wasting money on a GTX, the GTS is plenty powerful enough to run any game with eye candy on at that resolution.
    Have a look at this months Custom PC as they ask the same question whan looking at the XFX 8800GTX and the GTS. Its worth a read.

    my advise, for this thread as well as the other near identical one. is to do nothing just yet. youv got a 7900GT so your not stuck with a slow card. just leave it until the 8900's, 8600's R600's etc land, then work it out from there

    its far too early for anyone but the "power users" and "new hardware is like crack" brigade
