    need help!

Ok I've found this bare drive laying around and i want to find out how big it is, checked the connections for the drive in my dimension 2400 and there the same. There is room for another drive but i dont have an enclosure or any screws to hold this drive in place, is it safe to just lay the drive in and run it without an enclosure?

Can't you simply google the model number (which will be on the drive's label)?
