The Netgear DG834G was widely acknowledged to be one of the best earlier wireless ADSL routers. Probably not as good as a Draytek, but not with the over-the-top (for most) premium either.

Netgear are a very solid, dependable make in everything I've bought in my experience. Belkin are... not.

I have a d-link modem and a d-link router just now but under heavy load (downloading vie bit torrent) I have to pull the power on them to get them to work again.
Well I'm happy with my binatone adsl2000 router, box brand new from a bootsale for £5.....the guy had a pile of em cos they don't make em any more.......about 650kb/sec from say a MS server, a good seed with torrents can reach 550kb/sec during the middle of the night.
But was interested in going wireless and like you read so many conflicting reports about different makes of modems, which puts me off buying ATM.

I use a Draytek 2800G which is excellent, but sadly outside your budget. It is rock solid though, and really easy to configure, with lots of facilities.

Otherwise look at ZyXEL, or Edimax, or as someone mentioned earlier, Asus. Scan have a range on offer this weekend www.scan.co.uk/todayonly

Sorry to hijack this thread but is there any ADSL modem routers that do 10/100/1000 as all I seem to find is 10/100 and not 1000

I was thinking of that but my voyager 105 will not work on Vista, so I was looking for a adsl modem router that will do 10/100/1000 and do vista, if not I'll stick with my 105 and wait and see

Ive got a lovely netgear, havent looked back (Best brand IMO, or Linksys.) Its wireless and supports some wicked options for gaming, like advanced priority built in for things such as Steam.

I've used Belkin, Netgear and Linksys Routers. I've always been a fan of Linksys stuff and still don't think they are a bad choice but I think Netgear is the best choice at the moment.

    The DG834G (v3) is a great choice. I bought a DG834G + USB Adaptor from Amazon for £57 - bargain!

The dark horse is speedtouch, no one seems to say it's the best, but on the other hand there are very few complaints (that I have read).
