Don't think anything significant was bent , just don't know. Something's definately wrong with the ultra my guess is that the heatsink either was concave (supported by the thermal paste pattern i reported yesterday) or heatpipes were faulty. Anyway just glad it's soted. Mind u so is the wife as she can hear the telly now.

Lol!! assumed you'd got rid of it after it disappeared from your sigggy. Would have swapped but then u wouldn't have much of a bargain i think

Whilst i had mobo lifted swapping coolers i took the opportunity to test my voltages with a multimater. used
these as a guide. Commando Voltage Measuring Points by Dani & Chri$ch@ XtremeSystems #1 & Commando Voltage Measuring Points by Dani & Chri$ch@ XtremeSystems #2

Asus probe isn't that far out. Ran at idle & load, most significant stat is vdroop vcore idle 1.283 (1.3 Bios) 1.246 Load.

I want to get mbm configured for thiis mobo, then i can use the voltagemod.ini to set volts to match mm readings. Did this on my last mobo found it very useful.

So everything has now come together pretty well. even my team won yesterday

I get so frustrated at the asus site. The best way i've found is to go in via your country ie uk.It's here if you can't wait. Flash via Aus EZ Flash2 utility. see 4.1.3 of manual 4 more info.Commando-ASUS-0702.rar
