I would say go for a 8800gts in about a mouth, then in 6 months sell it and buy the next best thing what I will do
Interesting, I'm still umming and aaah'ing about upgrading my x800 to one of the cheap x1950's but thats ~£120 for a DX9 card...
I am also waiting to see what ATi produce before I upgrade from my current card, although it has been hard at times when people say how amazing the 8800GTX/GTS is.

From my point of view I am looking to upgrade in a month as I have a 7600gt and it is coming to the end of it's shelf life for what I want.
I really wouldn't expect it to be very good, looking at the specs.
the ultra is going to only be 30"dollaz" more according to that. why would anyone go for the GT?!
