    mouse lagging

    I have a strange problem

    after a while of using my computer i get mouse lag and to a certain extent the keyboard lags as well.

    this is a recent development and rebooting fixes the problem.

    I use AVG antivirus and have run AdAware and Spybot although spybot crashes when i try to use it.

    I have the following

    Shuttle SN45G
    IBM/Hitachi 180gxp 120gb HDD
    512mb Twinmos PC3200
    GF4 Ti4800

    XP service pack 1 and updated regularly

    any ideas?

    • Steve's system
      • CPU:
      • Intel i3-350M 2.27GHz
      • Memory:
      • 8GiB Crucial DDR3

    Check MSConfig for applets that load at startup - any of them could be crappy and causing you problems over time.

    Also check CPU usage when this starts happening - see if a process might have anything to do with it.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Are they both wireless per chance?? It some times happens to me, usually when playing UT2k3 . I find that changing channel on my mouse solves the problem. Of course if they aint wireless then this aint the problem
