    Conroe Motherboard

I don't think I can stand my Venice much longer. Sometime in the very near future I'm gonna have to buy a 4300. With a gig of this for now and another gig at a later stage (unless someone can sugest something better for the price).
The only thing I'm unsure about is the motherboard. Its between the Asus wi-fi one which I have heard so much about, and the Abit AW9D-Max. I think I prefer the Abit because it has crossfire (I dont know if the Asus one does but according to scan it doesn't) and it LOOKS better. Can anyone see any problems with either of them?

Edit: I forgot to mention that I plan to overclock it to hell so I'll be on Hexus moaning about why it wont work in a few weeks .

Do you have a monitor with a huge resolution? 25**x1600 or whatever, or multiple monitors? If no, then you dont need crossfire or sli, so get the P5B deluxe wifi

Not to put down abit motherboards particularly but the max FSB has been a bit hit & miss with them lately - the P5B deluxe is a superb motherboard if you want to overclock with an e4300, although the asus commando is their newest i965 chipset board (and I have it ), but it's a bit light on features and high in price.

Also if you want bang for buck and the option of SLI (maybe crossfire?) then take a look at the Asus P5N-E SLI, it has little trouble hitting 500fsb, has two 8x pci-e slots which is apparently enough to handle 8800s in SLI and the best part, it only costs ~£80 Here

Big fan of Asus mobos.....I am particularly pleased with my P5W-DH, although accept that the P5B covers many of the features for a few quid less ...... I doubt you will be disappointed with the P5B, and they are supposedly excellent clockers too

I think I'll have to go with your advice and buy the Asus. I just wish it came in black .
