6800 SLi or upgrade to one 7950?

I am faced with a dilema when I bought my system I thought I could always upgrade to Sli in future but I reckon 1 x 7950 is going to be better than 6800's SLi am I correct?

Yup, I would always say go for the best Single card you can aford at the time, SLI only gives performance in certain games where a single card gives the performance in all games.

Whats your budget? You may be better of waiting for the mid range DX10 cards to come out, or push for an 8800GTS if Scan have one on today only again.

8800GTS would be a much better idea.
