I needs me a big-ass case

Yup. I want a fat tower case. I've been looking at either the Lian Li V2000plusII, or the Coolermaster Stacker 830. Any opinions? I love the look of the LL, and I've been really happy with my V1000, but the CM is cheaper and as I understand it can be modified so that the internal layout (PSU at the bottom) resembles the V2000. Don't like the front door on it though - can it be removed?

Opinions would be useful. Ta!

Really big - Mountain Mods UFO, otherwise the V2000 is a very good choice. Lian Lis are honestly worth their money, they are great, well thought out chassis

I'm leaning toward the CM 830, looks a bit roomier inside which should make for easy cable management and I like the little drive cage thingy.

Get the G70 (Tall Full Tower hugeness) or the Mountain Mods (cube hugeness) or the Lian li anniversary case (cube hugeness)

Wheels can have their disadvantages, to big a rear fan and your case could be acting like a hovercraft.

I saw an Xclio A380 - 25cm fan front and side - in an Eastbourne shop and couldn't leave for about 10 minutes 'cos I was so stunned by its behemothic proportions.

What's this I hear about a CM 830 Evo? That it has WHEELS? Where may I find one of these?

Can someone confirm the number of internal expansion bays though? My system is going to have at least four hard disks and four 5.25 bays filled with optical drives and various other bits.

If you're after a case and you want to show off the pc parts inside then get the Lian-Li V2000, if you want a quieter case get the V2100, if you want both then you will have to mod the side panel yourself with a window kit as currently Lian-Li don't sell pre-modded window side panel's for the v2100 (only the v2000) which is a pain. I'll be modding my v2100 side panel shortly to show off my new upgrade & watercooling when I upgrade within the next 2-3 weeks.

I can't fault the V2000 series for the amount of space in there, you get 7x 5.25" bays (1 taken up with a 3.5" bay conversion, but u can take that out if you don't use it) and room for 12 HDD's, 1x120mm fan at the front, 1x120mm fan at the top rear, room to Twin 80mm fans at the bottom rear and the extraction fans that come with the case to mount over your graphics card (Not quiet though).

There isn't a Front Door on the V2000 case, only the V2100 case, but yes, the door can be removed from the V2100 case, i've done it to mine, just took it off the hinge, easy to do.

Not interested in modding or showing off whatsoever, but the space is important. The LL does have more 3.5 bays.
