When u do build make sure you report back, particularly about the mobo as there arent too many reviews around yet and let us know how it overclocks (ive heard it is very good).

Depends if you plan on overclocking.

If you dont plan on overclocking, dump the E6300 and get an E6600 and ditch the PC2-6400 ram and get some corsair value select 4200 ram.

Dump the hiper PSU and get the corsair 520.

The board you have chosen is new, so will more than likely be full of bugs and problems, at least for a while. The 680i boards are, so I cant see any reason why the 650i boards wont be. Again, we need to know if you intend overclocking.

thats the same as saying, pentium 4 is crap and since it is core 2 duos will be.

anandtech reviewed the board and its quite good. hitting high fsb's, its been nothing but good comments and reviews for the board.

The 650i boards are crap atm. Much better off with a P5B - seriously, a mate is having tremendous trouble with his board based on the 650i chipset...

Its not the same at all.

I'm not sure about you, but I wouldnt want to be guinnea pig for nvidia again. However you look at it, it is new tech, and if it doesnt have any flaws, then great, but the chances of that are slim to none, and as it would appear that DEEKS is possibly a first time builder, the last thing he wants is a potentially buggy board.

I'm considering the same motherboard too and I'm also ordering today. :S

I realise that it is a new chipset and that will probably have a number of bugs that will have to be ironed out just like any new chipset. The thing is it is very cheap for the features it has which are nearly on par with the 680. Also it got very good reviews on anandtech.

My question is what 965 board would you guys sugest which is in that price range, maybe up to £100, that would be a much better choice?

A mate of mine bought the 650i board, is now flogging it and buying that - he couldn't get his e4300 to overclock at all - and he knows what he's doing

I've seen a lot of praise for that board here and I would love to go for it. It's just that it's £50 more than the 650. Also I've heard it might have problems getting it to post with Corsair xms2 ram.

Anyway I think I'll make new thread with my spec. Don't wanna hijack this thread.
