    Monitor/gfx card advice please

    Hi people,

I recently bought myself a new computer and my parents have the pleasure of inheriting my old one. I removed the gfx card from the old one, an X800 GTO2, so it's currently running on a Radeon Xpress 200 IGP (rubbish i know). Dad just bought a monitor for it, some 19" widescreen AOC thing, and the text appears quite blurry, to me especially (I have a really good screen, and the difference is massive).

I was wondering, is this likely to be the deficiencies of the IGP or the monitor? If I were to spend £50ish on a Pci-E graphics card, what would you recommend? I'd like to use it as a media centre when he's done with it, so opportunity knocks..

    Thanks

7300 should be fine if they don't game - it will give decent clarity, whilst not breaking the bank..

my old mans running my old rig with a gf5200 in it and a dell 24", also blurry screen, a high quality VGA cable can help a bit but its signal loss due to the 15 pin VGA, a cheap DVI card would help him if the monitor takes that input ?
