    do you realy need PCI-E2?

    to get the most out of a 9800GX2 or GTX260? would you notice any difference on PCI-E1?
    also which card do you recomend out of thoes 2?

    I don't think you need PCIe 2.0, no one ever seems to mention it and most cards can't use all of the bandwidth that PCIe x16 gives anyway.

    With regard to cards.. wait for the ATi's.

    Like staffsMike says you shouldn't notice any difference between PCI-E2.0 and v1.x. Even if there is a difference in performance I doubt it would be noticeable so for now I wouldn't be bothered by the two.
