AMD and the warranty

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a OEM version of the Athlon XP in France and bring it back to UK since it is much cheaper to buy it here in France (i am in my holiday be back after new year). I know if I buy boxed (retail) version, I will have full 3 year warranty but I want to save a few quids.

So my question is, in case smt goes wrong can I still have warranty in UK instead of bringing it back to France?
