which 2.0/2.1 speakers

OK i need another Pair/set of speakers for my new(ish) PC

Im only looking for a 2.0 or 2.1 set (even thought i have a 5.1 SC)

- they need to be small (ish - without comping performace)
- good sound out put
- Styish (matching the below)
- Not a rip off!! (about £30 maybe)

You put "Good Sound" and "Under £30" in the same sentence. Not sure what you are expecting, but to be honest, everything under £30 is going to sound crap.

Second altec lansing. I have had my set for oooooo 5 years and they are still as good as the day I got them. Havent a clue what the current version is called but my ones have bass / treble on/off and headphone on one of the speakers, sub sits under the desk and keeps my feet warm. Buiild quality is excellent, no cheap switches and the sub is nice and heavy. This is not a set where you have to turn up the bass to make them sound good, I just leave the dials on the mid settings and they sound great.

Anything here wll do you. They are designed for music playback as well as gaming so they bass heavy, not as good as my hifi but bloody good for a £50 set of speakers.

Get yourself the 300watts 2.1 speakers from creative, they cost about 100 quid.

or get the 2.1 from logitech, they have a nice meaty sound.

Ooooh, I'd vouch for these, as I own a set.
Truely thunderous, and crystal clear if you use the digital Co-ax. Unless you have the outputs set too high as i did.....

I have the Gigaworks S750 (7.1) system, very nice, but slightly out of the £30 price range

Second the Hi-Fi option, unless you have huge speakers that you cant place properly, it should be a good idea.

I recommend sometihng like my Cambridge Soundworks DTT2200 Speakers, I think they can be had for about £40, and sound great. I know they are 5.1 speakers, but you cant get GREAt sound 2.1 speakers for £30

If you really must buy cheap speakers try and buy from somewhere that has a comments section. Read up on what previous purchasers have said. You will allways get atleast one unhappy comment even on high end kit, but if most are good you are on a winner. To that end these look nice:
