My friend is having a problem with the sound on his new NF7-S. It runs fine for a while, but after a while (e.g. an hour) the sound is distorted, 'fuzzy'. I was thinking that the speakers could be in the wrong port. Any ideas?

If its just 2 speakers the will go in the green port on the lower left side...
Best thing to do though is grab the latest drivers...
Not sure if its this

That you need...
Yes a heatsink on the southbridge is what most people say.
I have not had this problem with mine though as of yet. (touch wood)

this is a bizarre problem, tbh...
I've found that it only occurs when using 2 channel systems, be they spekaers or headphones, and the "fuzz" disappears if you restart the audio application you're currently using...
strangely, it never happens with my 5.1 setup - and drivers do seem to help for the longest time, then it suddenly will have a night where it does it every other hour. Wish I could get the rear speakers working properly though, bloody weird outputs.
Comt to think of it I used to have this problem, untill I got my CM201....
Must be a cooling thing....
Thanks for the advice, i'll pass it on
