Gigabyte DS4 too hot?
I'm getting crashes in a few games and I'm trying to figure out what is causing it. Incase overheating is the problem, I tried running the games with the sides off my case. The temperatures actually went up which probably shows that my case fans are doing a good job normally when the sides are on.
Anyway, I crashed as usual, but I went straight into the bios, and my CPU temp was fine. But the "System Temperature" was 50 C.....
That seems way too high to me. It doesn't get that hot when the sides are on the case, but it might be a sign that something is wrong.
Does anyone else have a DS4 and can tell me what the "System temperature" goes up to under load? Really not sure if 50 is extreme or just a bit warm because the sides where off. If its way too hot... that could be my problem.

If it isn't temps it could be an unstable overclock... have you tried running everything at stock to see if it still crashes?

Everything is at stock anyway :( I still haven't tried overclocking this PC yet.
Also, I just tried playing the game which always crashes, at lowest possible settings. It worked... Im not sure what that proves though :( It could just make the components run cooler because they aren't being as stressed.
The wierd thing though... is even when the computer has been off all day, and I boot up and go straight into that game... it sometimes crashes really fast. I quickly look at my temperatures and they are all in their low 30's.... So I was pretty convinced that it wasn't a temperature issue - but I really have no clue :(

Do you still have your memory at 4-4-4-12? If so then i suggest that is your problem. try 5-5-5-18 and see how you go?
