    Motherboard help/advice needed

ok, im lookin to upgrade to the following:-

    E6600
    2gb Geil ddr2 pc6400

but what i really need is some advice on a motherboard. ive been lookin at the ASUS P5B Deluxe & the Gigabyte DS4 so far, but im a little concerned about all this incompatability stuff i keep reading about.
mainly the ram & the IDE use.

basically if im gonna do this id like to all work straight away without find that the cpu wont work without a bios flash or the dvd wont work to install the OS cos its flakey, as im moving from AMD the bios flash is really important as i havent got a spare 775 to do it other than the E6600.

    thanks in advance

Whichever one you get, update the bios right away. I would recommend the P5B over the ds4.

If you are gtting that ram from overclockers, make sure it isnt from one of the bad batches that they have been selling, or better still, get it from somewhere else

Everyon'es on about Geil RAM... is it on offer somewhere? Scan only seem to do Corsair.

    I seeeee!

If I were to get an E6600 and P5B - would my current Cruial Ballistix 500Mhz RAM cause a major bottleneck?
