So, I've done the usual...
Gone and got myself a nice new PC:
Great graphics... Check!
Solid motherboard... Check!
Decent soundcard... Check!
Potent power supply... Check!
Good RAM... Check!
Sweet-spot CPU... Check!
Gorgeous Case... Check!
Massive Monitor... Check!
Essentialy, I have built here a "cookie-cutter" PC that is nice and quick, to play WUXGA games
What are the two things that I forget to upgrade? The two things that really "seal the deal" and that I use constantly. Yup, it's the damn keyboard and mouse.
Sadly, I've had my head buried so much into researching my components, inside the box, that I'd forgotten to read up anything about peripherals.
I have no idea what's good and what's not, I just know the kind of things I like. Sadly, that's normally the most expensive shiny things.![]()
Mouse: I am looking for something that is better than my MX1000. I've noticed razor have launched a new one, but I have no idea if this is any good. I know that the MS Habu suffered a great deal from shoddy software. Also, do I have to just admit to myself that a cable is better?
Keyboard: Anything better than my current keyboard. This is not very hard, but if I am to upgrade, I would like something that is well built. There is a lot on the market and I don't want to buy a keyboard for just any-old-gimmick. What keyboards are people using or recommending these days?
I'm looking for any advice, recommendations or comparisons that anyone may have.
Thanks,
-- acidrainy
