    PSU Fan

    I have a 480W Tagan PSU which is great, only thing is the rear fan ahs developed a god awfull tapping noise, so im wanting to replace the fans.

    Thing is im no wizz with electric and quiet frankly I aint risking opening the case an going up in smoke.;

    Any suggestions who could do this safely for me as I really cant afford to buy a new PSU and it works fine other than the annoying noise.

    If the Tagan has 3 year warranty then I would contact Tagan first. As you know swapping the fan will void warranty.

    if you are going to do this yourself, you may find you have to splice the wires onto the 2 pin plug in the PSU, depends on the plug type, i managed to take the pins out and slot them straight into the old plug.
    you may strike it lucky and find its a 3 pin fan, dunno with that make. either way its an easy job if your comfy with basic electrics.
