Ive seen the E6600 for £186 inc vat recently.
That is a lot of processor for only £186.... we may not always appreciate it but we actually get great value for processing power like that at that price - top end CPUs (and RAM) are premium, but come down a few notches and the bank-for-buck increases dramatically.
I just RMA'd some Corsair TwinX XMS 3200LL CAS2 Platinum (2* 512) that when I bought it nearly 4 years ago was well over £320 - now it is £85 from SCAN.
Yet we complain about high memory prices.....
high price memorys are a joke. do get a pair of decent 2gig sticks, you will have to spend nearly the same amount on a decet graphics card
That's excellent news but I'll probabally have bought by then,:)
Why the 22nd April - is it the newer cores out from Intel?
I think I can wait till April....although I would prefer to upgrade now!
