It's quite cramped though (IIRC from the review I read).

I have one. It is nicely small but seriously cramped inside. On mine I have had to RMA the PSU twice, on both times becasue the PSU fan stopped running or became very noisy. Because the PSU is a non standard type I could not replace it with a standard ATX one. I have since fitted another 120mm fan on the outside of the case in series with the PSU fan in order to reduce the load on it. So far it has not failed again. Also the supply cables from the PSU are very short, so they tend to pull out when you remove the drive cage, and can stretch across and foul the CPU fan.

The case takes a standard uATX motherboard, which is the big advantage. It is probably the smallest uATX case that will let you fit 4 expansion cards, though if you want to fit more than one long one you can't fit the third hard drive. You should be OK with a mid-range graphics card, but I would advise against a high end card because it will be to large, and generate to much heat.

There is limited space in the CPU area for a large cooler. An OEM cooler from Intel or AMD will fit, but most aftermarket ones won't. I am using a Zalaman low profile cooler that does. The maximum height available is about 70mm.

In common with all cramped cases, you have to do a lot of dismantling to change out parts. This is not a case for tinkerers. For example If you want to change the optical drive you have to remove the drive cage, all the other drives from it.

Given all the above comments, the system I have built in that case does work reliably. The system runs 24x7 as my Linux server. I get a CPU temperature of arround 70C under load (hardly ever), and 45C idle. Using an AMD 3200 processor.

There is a review at techreport.com of the case, that I read before I brought it.

Overall, I would still recommend the Silverstone Sugo case if you can afford it, but the Antec is OK if size is a high priority.

I asked her and she didn't mind the Akasa Zen - she said it was like an iPod. But the rest of the cubes she didn't really like. Still has her heart set on the Enermax. I might get one to try it out and see if the build quality is ok and everything. Also, I wonder if the Enermax 270w PSU will cope with:

    Asus AM2 uATX motherboard nf430
    AMD AM2 3800+
1gb stick of ddr2 (can someone clear up for me - in AM2 systems does all ram HAVE to be in dual channel?)
    X1600 Pro
And my fave HDD, Hitachi T7K250 :d (and a DVD-RW)

I think it will just about manage :chin: hopefully...

You can have a single stick of DDR2 memory, but it will only run half as fast, nerfing the performance. You should get 2x512mb - it's usually only a couple of percent more expensive than a single stick.

Well the idea would be to upgrade at a later date with another 1gb stick. If it can function ok then it's not really going to be a problem, I'm only going with AM2 because of the competitive cost, mostly this computer will be used for office / internet / skype / films and dvds sometimes / occasional games.

I looked at the memory on scan and 2x512 is about 20 quid more expensive than the generic 1gb stick (£50).
