    Confused about these 2 cards

    THis:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=545381
    and
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=545382

Are the same price on today only, but the latter is only 1000mhz memory speed. I am confused, could someone explain whats going on here?

    Thanks

Simply due to different purchasing prices.

I see, but what about the RAM speeds, why is the latter 1000mhz slower?

It's not slower. Scan are listing one as 'effective' speed and the other as 'actual' speed.

The actual speed of both cards is 1000mhz, but because it's double data rate RAM (DDR) the effective speed is 2000mhz.

As you can see, both cards are identical, it's just the bundle/packaging that's different.

Ahh kalniel - I knew I was missing something, cheers. Which leads to, which one has a better bundle!?

I did check the website and it states
    -512MB GDDR4 onboard memory (1550MHz)

    which didn't help.

    Thanks guys

    That's the x1900xtx, not the x1950xtx.

Afraid I don't know about the bundles. Look up some reviews of HIS and Sapphire cards to give you some ideas.
