    Memory upgrade options?

Hi, I am using 2x512mb Geil Ultra PC6400 DDR2 memory. I am thinking about upgrading to Vista at some point, and when I do I will want 2gb. My system at the moment is listed in the My System button.

Would it be better to replace my existing modules with 2 x 1gb (perhaps sell the 2 x 512mb kit) or just buy another 1gb stick or a 2 x 512mb kit? Does filling all slots have any performance implications? I guess if I can get a decent price for the existing modules full replacement would be preferable. Any thoughts?

OK then, let me put this another way -

Can I have a price check on a 1gb dual channel kit of Geil Ultra PC6400 - http://www.geilusa.com/products/showSpec/id/65

I've run it at up to 960mhz and it would probably do more..

512MB modules are a lot harder to sell then 1GB sticks.

Might just be worth adding 2 more 512MBs if you think you will stick with the board and RAM for a while.

    if you decide on 2x512mb.

I run 4 x 512mb Crucial Ballistix and its going for good prices on auctions at the moment as memory is expensive around about now!
