    Insane Temps

I'm just playing about with my brothers computer (he said it was being slow, the idiot hadn't defragged it in 3 months). I downloaded Coretemp and Prime95 and found that his processor is running at sub 20c under load! The lowest it went too was 9c . I'm guessing theres something very wrong with one of its sensors. How accurate IS Coretemp?

    Chears.

Edit: Forgot to add, Its an AM2 3200+ (orleans). The side of the case is off, it has 2 of the good silverstone fans in it and the ambient temperature of the room is no more than 10c (no central heating ) so maybe it isn't so inaccurate after all. Its BIOS and all its drivers are up to date (well... they are now )

Next to nothing, at best something you tell yourself that its fluctuating for a reason..

Best to just use an IR heatsensor.

I thought it was supposed to be accurate because it uses a sensor on the actual chip? Oh well. I guess its just wishfull thinking. It doesn't matter anyway because the chip wont boot past 2.5 anyway .
