    Question New Printer

Well my beloved Canon I865 has died.

I need a replacement printer to do photos and documents, it would be nice if it did CD's also

I would like to spend around £130 max

    Thanks

I still my have my i865 but I have been considering changing to the Canon Pixma iP5200R. The main reason is because a lot of people use the printer in my place so I would be able to share it via wireless a bit easier but it has all the features that the i865 has pretty much.

I believe it goes for around £120 from SavaStore and that is the only place I know that stock it apart from Amazon.

Hasn't savastore gone into liquidation?. Bettter avoiding them.

I am looking at the Canon MP600 myself it can do disks, scans & seems to get good right ups. It can take compatible cartridges but requires that you remove the chips from the original cartridges.

Yer i just read somewhere about the liquidation but that means that they will have some sales going on.

I wouldn't bother with compatible cartridges as they can actually cause more bother than what they are worth. Besides Canon inks are pretty cheap anyway so might as well just go for the real thing. Thus no fiddling with chips.
