I was just wondering if one day I might want to play games. It's always better to have that extra ability in the bag.

better to just get something cheap for now and buy something more up to the task if and when you need it. depending on how likely you are to want to do it of course. However SLI is still unnecessary then really

Okay, put this system together as a first stab.

I'm concerned though that the motoboard doesn't support SLI. Is this going to be a massive problem in the future?

Like I said gaming won't be on my list of things I'll do with the machine but I might have a stab at them at some point.

7300GT beats my 6600GT and I ran Vista Ultimate at full settings fine, as for the SLI it's kind of overkill but if you want it then I heard this P5N-E Sli board is good. Heres a list of SLI games

Okay if I save a tad more money on the gfx card and then on the Ram and HD's I should be able to get a new keyboard / mouse combo and all the CD drives / wires for under £800 .

no, and i see a 512mb 7300gt for £60 so I cant see how a 7600gt is less. Its GTX/GTS/GTO/GT/GS

A 7600GT would be perfect. The build looks good and that OCZ is good stuff. Gonna get a decent cooler and put an easy OC on there?

Been rather lazy and only just put together the system. I've decided to invest slighlty more money in the gfx card and opt for the E6400 processor.

What do you think?

dunno, id keep the dominator. just personal preference to me. but if you arent doing any overclocking then go for the ocz. btw theres a ocz 700w gamestream psu for £74, it has alot of power and real high efficiencies according to extremeoverclocking.com, if you want to future proof the psu then i guess you could get that.
