    Which Guild Wars next?

Hopefully there's some Guild Wars players out there. If so could someone recomend between either Factions or Nightfall. I'm really enjoying Prophesies still but would like to start some more characters and would prefer a little variety to the same old campaign. Both £18 on Play.com (unless someone finds one for a lot cheaper...). Cheers

I have all three 'episodes' of Guild wars. I can't really recommend one more than the other - they are both very good. If you like the idea of being able to heros in your party (including...getting them, level them up, alter their skill sets, how they attack. and more) then Nightfall is for you. You can of course take your prophesies characters to the Nightfall area and they will be able to use heros (after one or two nightfall quests). I have not got very far in Nightfall or Factions since I am very much involved in the prophesies campaign still. So I can not compare how they compare further into each campaign.
Someone might have a valid trial key for either of them which would enable you to try them for a week. I'm not sure if these keys are still around tho - or valid. I think they came with the collectors editions of the game.
    Good luck

Having the 3 games is a nice choice if you possibly can, but, go for Nightfall next, as Factions is slightly more PvPy than Prophecies or NF

Yeah what Vowo says is true, nightfall is the better RPG, factions the better PVP.

Nightfall is just so damm pretty as well, and unlike factions where you get to level 20 in about 5 minutes (ok 5 hours) nightfall is a bit like the first one and has more of a journey to it.

I'd recommend Nightfall; like Ibiris said, the Hero system is awesome -- and would really make Factions more enjoyable for you if you went back to play it later.

I have been trying to get through Factions for about a year now (since it was released). Feels more of a chore than enjoyment, it can be hard getting into teams at times also.

I'd skip Factions and go for Nightfall, everyone I know sings its praises.

Hehe, well I went for factions and think you guys are right. I'm currently level 15 and haven't even got to the East of the island (second part) yet. They do love giving you 3000XP for killing a couple of guys. Think I'll get Nightfall as well once my desktop is up and running again. I do like assassins though, some good combos on the attack.

Proficies was much more fun for the first part, essentually until you got to level 20 then the missions became a bit more repetative and there were less quests around as well. The main story was good but the little asides made it all the more interesting and engaging.
