    soon I guess...soon

Let me ask you lot a question?

What would you like in your missions? What time of day? More ground attack or less?

Some of the best I've ever flown were against hordes of slow stuff with minimal fighter cover because it makes you feel good when you own a few fighters and bombers....but a challenge is good for you, and IL-2 vs the heavy flak....well I think that's the ultimate challenge sometimes.

So: Tell me your favourite 3 planes each...and I'll balance good missions for you.

    I want :

1 Plane thats a light bomber
1 plane that's an out and out fighter
1 plane that's can do both.

    and i'll sort it

light bomber: Mosquito? if that counts...
    fighter: spitfire/ Fw
    both: IL-2

a bombing raid would be good i think (as in B-29s and escort of fighters)

i've never tried one of them before....

Makes no sense, seen as I was playing before hand. I wonder if the ts install did somehow muck up my settings. Anyways a bout of insomnia last night allowed me to reinstall windows, so will try il2 tonight again.

Sorry I missed this flight night :S I was out with the missus, but my brother and I used to play this on a LAN at home, I used to try and recreate historic battles with his guidance.

I even made a level reminicent of that air battle in 3D Mark 2003 with the mustangs and b-17s at high altitude .

But yes, the missions where you have to scramble to shoot down wave after wave of bomber was VERY entertaining.

I also enjoyed torpedo missions a lot.

I like a range of planes in IL-2 but my favourite three are:-
    Yak-3
B-109-G 1943 (Late) [ one of the later models anyway with the rounded nose cone ]
Spitfire [ one of the later models ]

Can't promise I'll be able to fly tonight as its quite difficult to tear away from the missus when she gives you an offer you can't refuse

Gosh darn it, I wants a pretty desktop. May have to balance it with the wife. I think she would want a bigger house in return. Gulp!
