    Saitek X-45

Does anyone know the cheapest place to pick up a Saitek X-45 joystick and throttle? Amazon.co.uk has it at 74 quid, but I don't trust 'em. I'm thinking of retiring my logitech wingman force 3d - it seems so damned loose and imprecise (though I'll miss the force feedback). Mind you, like all bad craftsman I'm probably just blaming the tools

    http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=2BYF

Dabs have it for 58.75 inc if that any help ?

or if you're feeling particularly gullible, theres a second hand one on ebay currently at £62 plus postage with some time left to go before the auction ends

    Gotta love ebay customers sometimes

Dedicated and regular PC pilots recon you should replace your joystick every year!!!

We probably don't put the hours in that would warrant this, so every two years is probably more appropriate. I was reading something about the Cougar (Thrustmaster) all metal thingy. That has to be serviced annually (Holland I thnk).

Clingy, I've had my stick for over a year now, I think your just trying to justify your breaking of said peice of equipment so you can replace it.....

X45 is an awesome stick - especially if you start playing things like LOMAC - the main trick is to remember what you have programmed where!
