    Re: Battlefield 2142

Battlefield 2142 is a poor mans copy of Battlefield 2.

Strange thing is Battlefield 2 matured quite well and works well now. But they kept updating the engine and stuff in 2142 and screwed it up even more.

Stick with BF2, better maps and better fun.

    Re: Battlefield 2142

    Amen to that.

I played 2142 for a bit. I enjoyed it tbh. But once I maxed out one rank of acheievement (all the way up past my alternative gun) it got boring.

It was the way that there was no teamplay, no one did anything together, it was all ffa.

You even got teamkilled because you jumped into a walker that someone else wanted. It started to seem like Halo: Combat Evolved when you jumped into a server of noobs that had been playing 4 hours and thought they were the best.

Yet again, on 2142 it wasn't just noobs. It was everyone else as well.

Now then.. if someone could just release a graphics update for 1942... I liked that game, 'part from the blockish graphics.

    Re: Battlefield 2142

i've binned 2142 AND bf2...they both drive me insane.

    2142- buggy as hell

bf2 works fine.....apart from RADIO SPAMMING!!! i played it for the first time in months the other day and after 50 x "enemy spotted" radio spams i left the game and uninstalled.

    i'll wait for BF3

Bad Company was geared towards the console and was never intended to be released for the PC, which is why we are getting Battlefield 3.

    Battlefield 3 Info:
    # Release in late 2008
    # Powered by “Frostbite DX”
    # Set in year modern day (just like BF2, ed.)
    # Will ship with 8 maps, each supporting up to 40-players per team
    # Two playable factions, NATO and MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition)
    # Same “ticket-based” gameplay style as before
    # Maps are mostly urban, based in Middle East
    # Squads and Commanders are present, introduced are “Battalions” which consist of three to four squads.
    # Five playable classes; Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support
    # Will feature 48 different vehicles (24 for each faction)
    # Will feature 34 different weapons (17 for each faction) and another 22 unlocks (for both factions), in total 56 different weapons.

    Re: Battlefield 2142

It's obvious that BF2142, Bad Company and BF:Heroes are ALL experimental projects of EA so that BF3 is a masterpiece.

There's would be no other logical reason for EA to release BF:Heroes FOR FREE after all
