Anyone ever sold a WoW account?

I know you are not supposed to sell accounts, but 1000's do and as I have managed to get myself away from the game after 2 years I thought I'd sell my account and try and get a little money back.

Do ebay allow you to list accounts on there? Just looked on there and all I can find is gold guides and such.

Also does anyone have any idea of what they go for? I have 3 level 70's and about 10k gold in total.

    Thanks for any help.

I know people who have sold them, and i've read that if you sell the game you can sell your account with the game.

I am not sure if this is true or not as i've still got mine and feel unlikely to part with mine even though i've stopped for the moment.

Ebay would suggest £100/£150 ish at the moment if you are lucky

After a little more digging I found http://www.ebur.dk/wt which is a forum dedicated to selling wow accounts.

Only account I could find that has sold on ebay recently was 2 lvl 70s and 1 lvl 67 and sold for £210, I would be more than happy for £200 for mine.

I've spent the last 2 yeats playing wow pretty much solid, and I really don't want to go back to it. So I either delete the chars or sell them

sold for as in the company paid that much for it? Or sold to a customer for that ammount. Because I'd be shocked if the paid someone that much for an account. A friend I use to play FFXI with sold his account, they gave him about 60 quid. Put it on ebay or something you will get all of the money for yourself!

I know, it's mental, isn't it. I sold off some surplus credits when I was playing Star Wars: Galaxies, and some guy asked me if I could get him an AT-ST - offered £150 for it! I managed to track one down (and paid a million credits for it), and the guy was very happy - paid up-front and everything! This was back in the old days, when it was all well and good on eBay.

Trying to put my account on ebay at the moment, I've made the ad up and so on, but when I got list it I get the message

    Attention Seller!
Virtual game items (gaming accounts, currency, leveling, etc) may not be listed on eBay as stand-alone products or as bonus items.

Please revise your listing by removing these items.

How do you get around this, and get the ad listed? I've put a disclaimer in the ad saying that the auction is for the cd's and so on.

    Thanks for any help.
