Not sure were you were looking, this is what i saw http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_do...etadriver.html Vista beta drivers 158.45 and the xp drivers are 162.15.
Not tried it myself yet but might give them a go soon

Those are them. Apparently nVidia uploaded some 162.15 drivers for the 8800 but quickly had to backstep because they ruined dx10 games. The most recent Beta is the 158.45 which runs very nicely, I've not had any problems.
I've recently been playing the full version of Lost Planet and it runs very well indeed, just as fast as DX9 as far as I can tell. It does look as though some of the textures need fixing though and I'm sure there's still optimisation left to do.
Anyway, 158.45 is the most recent Beta (last time I checked) and it lets Company of Heroes work fine.
Hmmm...
Not sure about this idea now!
Have tried the beta driver and at first was impressed, that was however untill i played another game!
The beta driver is noticably slower on a few of my other games and think i'll re-install COH without 1.7 patch so i can re-use normal vista driver.
I was playing race and it kept glitching on the same corner and i'd end up in the gravel
Just how fast a DX10 card do you need to get it running anything like as well as in DX9? This is one game that needs to be played with at least a reasonable framerate
Not sure anyones going to know for a while untill DX10 is properly supported.
Most issues were happening at the initial start and would eventaully run the game at a good frame rate.
Hopefully the next proper nvidia drivers will be much better, although since my last venture to the beta drivers another has been released, but as that was desighned specificly to help the world in conflict beta test not sure it'll help.
I'm guessing only time will tell.
